Donation & refund policy

Tax status

Elevate Our City Foundation is a Texas nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Receipts

Every online gift generates an email receipt. For gifts of $250 or more, and for gala tickets, we will provide a written acknowledgment that states the amount and the fair market value of any goods or services received (for example, dinner at the gala), as the IRS requires for donors to claim a deduction.

Use of gifts

Unrestricted gifts support our school lunch program and the events that fund it. Every dollar above event costs goes to children's lunch balances. Gifts designated for a specific purpose are used for that purpose.

Refunds

If you made a mistake with your donation, contact us within 30 days at donate@elevateourcity.org and we will refund it. For gala ticket refunds, contact us before the event. If we cancel the event, every ticket is refunded.

Gift acceptance

We gratefully accept cash, check, card and in-kind gifts (such as auction items). We may decline gifts that conflict with our mission or that carry conditions we cannot meet.

Donor privacy
