Legal status
Nonprofit corporation
Tax-exempt
EIN 43-2271877
Elevate Our City Foundation is a Texas nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
How we use funds
- Program first. Every dollar above event costs goes to children's school lunch balances.
- Coordinated with the district. Payments go through GCISD so gifts are receipted properly.
- Event costs are covered by ticket sales and sponsorships wherever possible.
- Restricted gifts honored. If you designate a gift for a specific purpose, we use it for that purpose.
Progress
2026 goal: clear lunch balances in elementary schools, then the upper grades
| Period | Raised | Balances cleared |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 (to date) | $0 | Reported after the gala |
Governance
The foundation is led by its founder, Kathleen Bryant, and a board of directors that is currently being finalized. Board members serve without compensation. We will publish our board roster and conflict-of-interest policy here.
