When a family falls behind on a school lunch account, the balance stays with the child and keeps growing. We raise money locally and use it to pay those balances off.

Our elementary schools alone carry more than $3,100 in unpaid lunch balances. The rest of the goal goes to the middle and high schools.

We pay off the elementary school balances first. Then we move on to the middle and high schools, where balances tend to be larger.

Families do not need to apply, and we never publish their names.

We post totals raised and balances paid on our transparency page.
